And, yeah, yeah, so Frank and Jamia’s anniversary is on the 9th, I think. I don’t know. Six classes a week make things a bit fuzzy. I tried to find the post on the Bouncing Souls MySpace, and apparently it’s been taken off or deleted or something. Le sigh. So I’ll just go with you all and say it’s the 9th

Thanks to Heather for the heads up! You can win that spiffy Venganza vest/USB thing. And, by the way, I looked it up, and “Venganza” is “Revenge” in Spanish…not that I really needed confirmation of that as I could assume that was the case, but oh well. Anyhow, to win it, you gotta submit an original image (Photoshop, sketch, drawing, painting, photograph, whatever) with “¡VENGANZA!” on it. Sound spiffy? Yeah. If I had known this I would’ve entered instead of buying one, you know, being a design student and all. Le sigh.

If anyone purchased it, did you get the “instant download” tracks of “Give ‘Em Hell Kid” and “Helena”? It told me it was included, but I never got them, so I have no clue what that was.

Yesterday was Mikey and Alicia’s second wedding anniversary. Congrats. I’ll make a banner eventually.

The 10th is Frank and Jamia’s so hopefully I’ll be on time with that one .

Okay, so I suck. I’m well aware of this. I have six days worth of classes each week right now and, well, I need sleep. Badly. And I’m sure Kath and everybody has an equally busy life right now since we’re all students. To help cure this, I’ve enlisted my good friend Jenny. You might remember her as my concert buddy when we did shows and we were playing with Gerard’s boas and I posted a picture or two because it was funny. Anyhow, I’m going to show her rather quickly how to work this stuff and hopefully she’ll be able to help update since she had transfer credits and will be going to class 3-4 days a week. So yeah. Everybody say, “Hi, Jenny!” and hopefully I can keep her around until I can make sure my head’s not going to fall off.

Next order of business is the photos I had requested for Brandy Way. Thanks to Sasha for the first photo, the rest sent by Kristin. Obviously, Frank, Gerard, and Mikey are photographed, but in the background you can clearly see Alicia and Lindsey, and in one photograph to the far right over Frank’s shoulder, I believe that might be Jamia! Family vacation?

Jeff posted this on the official site (thanks to Kmart for the heads up!): Alloy.com has called My Chemical Romance the most anticipated album of 2009. It’s nothing we don’t already know, but it’s still nice to hear.

Crappy update, am sorry, but hopefully Jenny will help get me on track…and the new layout is coming, I promise, so hopefully that’ll be up this weekend because this week was nuts.

As a side note, I have been very busy and I know I keep promising the new layout (my fault, I’m sorry, it’s a test run of a new design I’m thinking about) and I’ll be getting it coded for WordPress so hopefully it’ll be up this week. I really hope, because it’s kind of pretty and much better than what is currently up.

As another side note, Mikey Way coordinated his wardrobe to the current test layout by wearing a plaid shirt with (if the colors weren’t so blown out on the photograph) similar colors as our background. I’m amused

Ever since Gerard introduced “The Motts” it has become somewhat of a joke in my classes at college. One of my classmates manage to dig up one of the commercials that Gerard was talking about. While Adam hasn’t been able to specifically find the detective one where the kid is searching for “The Motts”, this one is still pretty classic. Enjoy!

Frank did an interview about Leathermøuth with Jersey Beat. And it’s a downloadable phone interview and is apparently epic awesomeness. I, however, am in school and can not listen to it. Blegh. On the brightside, the whole thing is about Leathermøuth, with a little MCR thrown in here and there as conversation goes, so this is definitely something for Leathermøuth fans. Thanks to trudybooth on LJ.

Gerard is considering a side career in direction feature films and music videos. He did an interview with Kerrang Thanks to xbloodsicle for the tip. This is a tidbit of what Gerard had to say:

Directing is something I’d be really interested in,” he says. “People ask me if I would act, but acting to me is not nearly as exciting as directing would be. When I was talking to Mark Webb about the Ghost Of You video I was talking about the idea and I broke it down into shots and he’d said ‘You should really consider making your own videos eventually’. And I think that making videos would be fun and easy, but I’d definitely be interested in directing features. After this record cycle I’d be really interested in trying something like that. [source]

My Chemical Romance might be on MTV’s Spoilers. It appears like they are set to be on the show with Zach Snyder on February 21st at 8pm as well as the rest of the Watchmen cast. Thanks to catastrophicbb on LJ. [source]

If Bullets was your favorite record, you’re in luck. Gerard tells MTV that the new album is going back to their dirty punk Jersey grassroots. That’s definitely made of awesomeness. Proof? Gerard’s words:

I don’t think this is gonna be a ‘kitchen sink’ record. I think it’s going to get by on its musicianship and its own merits in the songs.  And every record … I like to think they’re snapshots of what your band is at that moment, and this is really going to be that. I think there’s going to be lack of concept, I think it’s simply a snapshot, I think it’s going to be direct and very honest,” he continued. “It’s not going to be hiding behind a veil of fiction or uniforms and makeup anymore. … From the stuff we’ve been playing so far, just feels very pure. That’s the best way to describe it. People who were really big fans of our first record, they’ll find things they’re really going to love about the new material — and not because we sound like that first record at all, it’s because there’s a purity to it. There’s less happening. [source]
