Congrats to Hollie for being the first person to wow the new layout. I know, I loved the old one, too, however I messed up the coding somehow and mine and Kathleen’s names weren’t displaying on the entries and the comments wouldn’t show up at all. I’ll probably put it up at a later date, but it involves redoing the entire layout, so this is the new layout. Inspired by a conversation I was having with Tiffa the other night and was put together while in class yesterday. Thanks to Kathleen for refreshing her browser every time I made a 1-pixel change
So, this means all the pages are now in WordPress, so if you click on “Mikey” above, you’ll see we have an entire list of lyrics now.
Also, if you’d like to skip some fields when leaving comments, I suggest registering on the site (see in the right column at the bottom) and, when you’re logged in, you can skip putting in your name, email, and all that stuff and just leave a comment.
I’m still working on my side project, which is going to be pretty cool, and if you’re a registered member here, you’ll be automatically registered there. Neat, huh? Yeah. You guys’ll like it, I promise. Oh, and if you’d like to donate some audio, mp3s, videos, or graphics, I’ll gladly take them and give you credit. And you’ll get a sneak-peak at the project if you send me something.
Whoever asked for a new random photo, here ya go
Some Gerard and Adam Lazzara with water guns. Note: I’m testing a cool little plugin that’ll bring up linked images in a cute little black box and this image is my test.

If something isn’t working, please let me know either by leaving a comment on this entry, the board, or by going to the contact form.
P.S. Aren’t these smilies just the cutest things ever?? <3
It seems as if Fuse is having an “All American Faceoff”.
You can vote for My Chemical Romance by clicking here and then scrolling down to the section “New Jersey”. Our boys are currently matched against Bon Jovi.
Frank won by a freaking landslide in Peta2′s Sexiest Vegetarian 2008. He beat out Jared Leto by about 2000+ and, well, everyone else. The winning lady is Alyssa Milano (from Charmed). Congrats, Frank!
Much to my heartache, Lauren has closed Skin Off Our Bones. She’s working on a new project so don’t forget about her! <3 Much love to you, Lauren, and your support, and if you ever need anything (hosting, support, whatever) PLEASE ask. You’ve made a fantastic contribution to the My Chemical Romance online community and I can’t wait to see what you have in store.
Seems as if the 40 people picked to do the private screening of The Black Parade Is Dead! have been chosen. Don’t remember your cans of food! Congrats to you!
James Dewees’ album was released on Tuesday. I know him as my homeslice from Kansas City. You may know him as the keys/piano behind My Chemical Romance. Reggie & The Full Effect on iTunes – Reggie & The Full Effect on Interpunk – Reggie & The Full Effect on MySpace.
And, on a side note, my hair is now dark brown with a slight purple tint. I’m happy
Darkhorse has put up a video of the signings that Gerard did back in September in Boston and New York. To view it, you may click here. [or you may not, I suppose it's your choice.]
And as for the Peta’s 2008 World’s Sexiest Vegetarians…
Thanks to all your diligence in voting, Frank won! And in case you were wondering, Alyssa Milano won for the females.
So, congratulations to Frank for the erm… title.
Vote for My Chemical Romance at the Kerrang! Awards. I’m thinking they’re only eligible for International Band and Live Band unless we vote “The Black Parade is Dead!” for Best Album. Anyhow, go for it!
Speaking of voting, vote for Frank Iero as Peta2′s Sexiest Vegetarian 2008. He’s about 2000 votes ahead but all the more reason to keep voting and make sure he absolutely kills the competition, yeah?
If you’re not all voted out, go visit Shell at MCR-Pics.com and vote for which set you want her to post next.

Wow, three updates from the official site in one day. Ha. Like I need to talk, right?
Off topic, but I missed my UPS delivery today. I bought a bunch of back-issue mags with MCR in them and Reggie and the Full Effect’s new CD/Tee. *sigh* Must track them down tomorrow.
Shell at MCR-Pics.com has put up a poll as to what you want to see for her next update: Live, Events (award shows, etc), or Photoshoot. Go vote!
All entries are now up in the archives.
Apparently WP isn’t posting comments. It’ll let you post one, but then it won’t display them. I still have some tweaking to do, apparently.
Whoot! We’re now rollin’ in WordPress. The content pages still haven’t been converted, but I’m currently going through and updating them and their information.
For the sake of consistency, I’ve pulled a few updates and put here (see below!) so that whoever hasn’t seen them will see them now, and they won’t have just been lost in the archives.
Archives? Heck yeah. We now have archives. All 310 entries that Kathleen and I have posted since the site opened. My first “Testing” post was done on July 22, 2007. I quit posting and talking to myself about June 27, 2007, so I’m not sure what to call our anniversary. I’ll say July 22nd, because that’s the day the domain got registered and the site actually came online. Whoot!
Speaking of archives, you can see those here: Mikey Way Online Archives. You want to know what’s really cool about those archives? Lauren from Skin Off Our Bones let me republish her archives of Mikey’s old MySpace. That makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Hopefully I’ll be getting the lyrics section up soon, too, which includes Pencey Prep (Frank’s old band) and Leathermouth (Frank’s new band). Those are being donated to Lauren in exchange for Mikey’s blog entries. Those are definitely worth a read. I gained so much more respect for that man afterwards. A lot of people apparently think he’s a douche for posting what he did, but the man stood up for his wife and took the heat for it.
I’ve actually considered putting MWO’s first layout back up; yeah the pretty pink one. It was up and down before I think anybody got a chance to see it. It’s still my favorite layout haha. That won’t be happening for several, several more months. This one’ll stay up at least until (my goal is) September.
Next on Johnnie’s agenda: the Gallery (new layout, getting it back online), Forum (new layout), making the site W3C compliant (all that means is that the site should look fantastic no matter what browser or computer you’re on haha).
So, on the line of that last W3C compliant thing, things will look a little strange. Font sizes may change spur of the moment (that would be me modifying them probably) and just little things like that. Bare with me
This week’s issue of Kerrang! features an article about the protest against the Daily Mail on May 31, 2008. Scanned by nmhrbrtsn
And, if those weren’t cool enough, here’s another random photo for you to enjoy.
Tom DeLonge [Blink-182, Angels and Airwaves] spoke out about the controversy surrounding My Chemical Romance and Hannah Bond’s suicide.
He defended My Chemical Romance, saying there was nothing abnormal about the content of their lyrics.
