Thanks Alicia! For anybody on Facebook, you can RSVP to the International My Chemical Romance Day. You’re not actually going anywhere (well, you can, but that’s up to you) but it’s just a “hey! I’m celebrating!” sort of thing. I put in my “Attending” vote.
LJ user limmenel was running the Empires merch booth in Chicago at the House of Blues and Bob was in attendance. He’s kept his lip ring and his long hair, much to my amusement. I’m totally lovin’ it!
You can read her story and see the picture she got with him at ChemRom. If you can’t view the picture, you can find it on My Chemical Freak.
Music Save Lifes posted about 20 photos of My Chemical Romance at Skatefest September 15, 2002. Check this out:
Not enough for you, you say? Then
Brandi has you covered.
If you’re not sick of it already, here’s more resources on that epic CLove v. Billy Corgan battle that Gerard has seemingly gotten himself entertwined in. Poor guy.
- Courtney Love slams Corgan over party Love also claims My Chemical Romance will be playing at the party, with frontman Gerard Way even urging a bandmate to cancel his honeymoon so they can attend.
- Courtney Blasts Billy Corgan Courtney Love has never been afraid to sound off when things go awry in her little universe…
The Black Parade Is Dead! chart stuffs. W00t!
- Entertainment Online, Rolling Stone, Billboard: My Chemical Romance’s live Black Parade Is Dead! at No. 22
Gerard Way did an interview with IGN.com, “Enlisting In The Umbrella Academy”. Occasionally pop culture celebrities will dabble in the world of comic books. Even Mr. T had his own series for a while, and we wouldn’t have learned the virtues of drinking our milk without it. On the whole, these celebrity-penned books are forgettable and wind up in the bargain bins at your local comic shop. One recent and notable exception was Umbrella Academy. This mini-series was written by Gerard Way, the lead singer of the band My Chemical Romance.

Haha. My Chemical Romance may be on break but the news sure is rollin’ in.
I sent out emails to the two people that offered to help with the media section, but I’m afraid I didn’t give out enough details! I need some people that’ll be willing to be staff and upload stuffs, convert videos, and whatever. Unless you make wallpapers and sigs, avatars and such, and then I still need you, too! I’ve discovered that the media linked on this site no longer works since it appears as if when I moved them over to the new site that it literally moved them, not copied them. Ick. Sorry
But they’re going to be up in the media site soon. Also, if you’d like to be a beta tester (just surf the site and click on stuffs to make sure it works), also let me know.
The schedule for the San Diego Comic-Con [previously mentioned in this post] has been posted. A reminder that that day has already been sold out.
Saturday, July 26
2:15-3:15 Grant Morrison and Gerard Way: Born Under a Black Sun— Grant Morrison (The Invisibles) and Gerard Way (The Umbrella Academy) discuss death, death, and everything: comics, culture, the war on youth, and how you can fight back. This panel will change your life! Room 6B
And people think Gerard may also be present at this panel [it would make sense], although he isn’t listed for it, but it’s going to be on that Saturday as well.
12:00-1:00 Dark Horse Comics— Dark Horse director of publicity Jeremy Atkins and a host of Dark Horse editors and creators present a firsthand look at the future of comics. You will be given insight into the next chapter of the breakout hit series The Umbrella Academy, as well as a look at what the future holds for all of your other favorite series and characters. With exciting announcements and surprise guests, you won’t want to be anywhere else. Room 2
Courtney Love is not happy…
Proof! And more proof!
Why should you care? Well, you probably shouldn’t, but in her really cryptic message to Billy Corgan she does mention Gerard Way’s uber willingness to be at her daughter’s sweet sixteen party.
*Prizes may or may not be available…
Yeah, so I was talking to Becks from MCRime earlier and, between her and Brandi from My Chemical Freak, had gotten about 30 emails regarding Gerard’s death. Just thought I’d post before someone says anything, but he’s alive.
It was started by “internet douchebags” according to Absolute Punk. Brandi has confirmation from Riot Squad (My Chemical Romance management) that it’s false. The morons that started it to see how fast it would get around the internet or some bull like that, promoting the morons’ art…whatever. Therefore I’m not posting a link to him or his site. It seems to have been organized on some free-for-all website, but I won’t post that either because it’s covered in porn ads and people are generally disgusting and distasteful. And it gave Tiffa a bug somehow (as I sit here and hug my Macintosh). I did, however, try and find the page (ewwww……) but it deletes anything that goes past 10 pages so it’s gone.
How many times has he (or one of the other guys) died? A lot. Unless we get it from somewhere official, it’s not true
Man, depressing post…will random photos make you feel better? Since Brandy asked so nicely..

Talked to Brandi and the date Gerard is speaking at Comic-Con is July 26th, not the 12th. Thanks Brandi (haha I still love you), and Shyla for catching the error!
Johnnie is a dork and can’t get the Buzznet embed code to work. Oh, well. These two links were sent to me by C4. Brandy just couldn’t wait

Pleeeease, does anybody have the demos for “Vampires” and “Drowning Lessons” that they could direct me to or send to me? I’m still hunting for media! MP3s, videos, avatars, sigs, whatever you have. If you are a MCR media guru and want to help out with the media site, please let me know!
San Diego’s Comic-con is being called San Diego Monster-Con by promoters, advertisers and vendors alike. With comic writers the likes of Nicolas Cage and his son Weston, as well as ours truly, Gerard; the Comic-Con is being attended in record numbers. Some think this is good, others think this is bad. Either way, Saturday, July 26, Gerard and Doom Patrol’s Grant Morrison speak in a panel entitled “Born Under a Black Sun.” The official site says it’s completely sold out on this day. We aren’t aware if Gerard will be there for the entire Comic-con or just that one day. — Comic-Con.org
International My Chemical Romance Day is coming up on July 23rd. Get out your merch!
My Chemical Romance beat the crap out of Bon Jovi with a whopping 88%. Holy crap! Great job, guys!

The Black Parade is Dead! debuted on the Billboard Chart at #12. Congrats!
Johnnie’s random photos. I got permission to post these. Please go check out her Deviant Art because some of her stuff’s just awesome

On My Chem’s myspace page it says that the Day Of The Dead band member masks are coming soon to the My Chemical Romance Online Store.
It does not state how much they will cost or even when they’re coming to the Online store… Just that they are coming.
So, I guess for those of you who couldn’t afford the Special Edition, or who wanted to collect the masks, or who wanted a specific mask… Stay tuned for more information. =]
Dark Horse MySpace turns 1 year old. Forum post has a little bit about TUA.
Gerard Way and Gabriel Bä take their smash hit The Umbrella Academy in a new direction, with a short story delving into the team’s teen years, when Vanya and The Kraken kicked out the jams in their punk band, The Prime-8’s.
Talk about random. Mikey and Gerard are on a list of “Famous Scottish People“. Granted, they’re only half Scottish and look more Italian than anything, but oh well.
Album review of The Black Parade is Dead! by 411Mania.com: Vocalist Gerard Way has been very vocal regarding the matter despite his claims that the entire emo movement is “bullshit.” Still, it’s nice to hear a guy who so many young people look up to speak out against this type of thing.
I have a review coming. I’ve seen the Mexico City part, but gotta find some spare time to watch Hoboken. So, yeah, my review is coming soon!
Another edition of Johnnie’s Random Photos! W00t! Prepare yourselves for an old photo of Mikey.

Here is an awesome article that MTV put up and I finally found thanks to kmart from the tagboard’s help. =D
It’s a pretty good [yet short] article and it includes some videos as well, so check it out.
If The Black Parade is dead, no one’s told My Chemical Romance or their booking agent.
Also, on a side note, someone around where I live have been setting off fireworks for the past hour and a half… It’s starting to get annoying…
The MCR Store has been updated with new stuff. Well, not really new stuff, but new to the store stuff. These shirts are from the last tour and for all of you who have been looking for the Mikey Fuckin Way shirt, it’s there as well.
Kind of what irks me the most is, the shirts were more expensive when you bought them at the shows… Usually it’s the other way around.
Also, typing “TBPID” at checkout will give you 10% off of your purchase, should you decide you cannot live without some awesome new shirts. [I have no clue how long the code is good for, but thanks for the heads up, Hollie =D ].
And thanks to Racha who sent me this a while ago… She uploaded the Mama video from TBPID to youtube, so if you want to view that without having to download it, you can click here.
Also, for all the Americans who visit the site [which happens to be 44.5% of you] happy fourth of July. Have fun. Watch fireworks. Erm… Do whatever people do on the fourth of July…. =
