Rest in Peace

December 29th, 2009 | kmart | 5 Comments | Email Mikey Way Online!

I’m aware that James Owen Sullivan has little to do with My Chem, but I’m also aware how many of us were proud fans of Avenged Sevenfold. The Reverend Tholomew Plague, the drummer of Avenged Sevenfold, was discovered dead yesterday, apparently of natural causes. He was twenty-eight years old. His death has affected thousands, perhaps millions of lives, and though a tragedy is among us, let us not mourn his death, but do our best to celebrate his life.

In case you don’t have a twitter, Frank did offer his condolences to The Rev: “@FrankIero  fuck i just heard…im at a loss. rest in peace rev, you will be missed.” as did Mikey’s wife Alicia: “@aliciaway  What terrible news. I wish I could explain how much you will be missed Jimmy. RIP my buddy… Xoxoxo”

 The Rev

My heart goes out to every fan, to the members of Avenged, and of course, his family. And so, R.I.P Jimmy Sullivan, aka The Reverend Tholomew Plague.

Also, just as a note, (because I know there are people struggling,) if anybody is having a particularly hard time dealing with the news of Jimmy’s passing, feel free to shoot anyone of us an email. I’m sure everyone here is willing to help and offer sympathy.

It’s coming…

People who got their confirmations will get in first, but line up at 6 PM and we’ll try and get you in! (via My Chemical Romance.com)

My Chemical Romance’s Greatest Song Ever

August 1st, 2009 | Johnnie | Comments Off | Email Mikey Way Online!

This comes from UltimateGuitar.com via Kim!

My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way is feeling positive about his band’s fourth album – in fact he’s gone as far as to describe one track as the “greatest song” they’ve ever written.

“The songs are all wildly different, but the one I’m really excited about is called ‘Death Before Disco’,” Way told Rolling Stone. “It’s a completely different sound for the band – it’s like an anti-party song that you can party to.”

“I can’t wait for people to hear it. It brings back, lyrically, some of that wonderful fiction from the first album. I think we wrote our ‘Born To Run’, and I’m so amped about that. To me, it’s the greatest song we’ve ever written – it’s my favourite MCR song.”

My Chemical Romance have been working on their fourth album since the start of the year, with the hope of releasing it before 2010 rolls in.
