You know, it’s always a terrible thing when someone’s lost their dog. It’s just heartbreaking. It’s even worse when that dog is your best friend, one of the most important things in your life.
Bob Bryar is in the process of suing trainer Daniel Schaffer after his beloved Dixie died in his care. Schaffer’s first story was that a drunk driver was involved. Obviously, Bob demanded the police report which Schaffer couldn’t produce, so the trainer changed his story. All Bob got was Dixie’s cremated remains. He said, “The devastation I feel is beyond words.”
Bob was sent a referral and paid $7,500 in April in hopes that Dixie, rescued from a life of abuse, could get some much needed help to adjust to a new dog. After about a week, after having told Bob that Dixie was “having a blast”, he had to break the news that Dixie had been killed by a drunk driver while Schaffer was transporting her and other dogs. According to the lawsuit, “Schaffer called (Bryar) again and informed him that he could not say goodbye to Dixie for she had been ‘cremated due to her condition.” By the way, if that’s not illegal, it should be. Within days, Schaffer handed over Dixie’s remains to Bob. It should also be noted that Schaffer failed to produce a police report documenting anything had happened. Since that was obviously a lie, he tried again and said she died in her sleep, and then changed that to “other circumstances”.

It sounds like, to me, he screwed up and is trying to cover his tracks. He just picked the wrong drummer to mess with. Bob, you need to wipe the floor with this guy’s face. He can’t get away with this.

oh…this is just horrible….i cant even put in words how bad i feel….poor Bob =( Here he is trying to help this dog…and this happens… i wish i could help in some way…let me know if i can…

I can’t even imagine what it would feel like if I lost my dogs. I pray for Bob and for Dixie.

Uh. This sucks. 8< I lost my dog 8 years ago. He was a little chihuahua, I loved him, still do. Eventhough we have two new dogs and I love them too, so much, I still miss him. 8< Poor Bob. I feel so bad right now. 8< And he didn't even have a chance to se goodbye to her, they just fucking cremated her. This really sucks. R.I.P Dixie.

What the hell. This dude is disgusting. I feel horrible for Bob and hope this retard goes to hell. His dog dies, and you can’t even tell him how? This absolutly disgusts me. Bob is in my prayers. I started crying when I read the title, and sobbing when I read about the trainer. I pray that Bob finds out what happened to Dixie. The trainer is a bastard.

that really sucks, bob should have been able to at least say goodbye. its not fair at all! i feel so bad, i wish i could help bob, he didnt deserve to have this happen to him, he deserves to know what really happened to Dixi :’(
