It’s about to be illegal to be Emo in Russia. The law will be banning all Emo and goth music from the country citing it as a “dangerous teen trend”. Russian band MAIO has been at the forefront of this movement, saying that “expressing psychological emotions is not forbidden by law.”

In more positive news, My Chemical Romance will be covering Bob Dylan’s “Desolation Row” for the upcoming movie adaptation for the “Watchmen” comic. They’d been performing the piece on the 2008 U.S. tour so it’s not really much of a surprise. That, and Gerard loves “Watchmen”. The director for 300 is directing the film and says, “My Chemical Romance is absolutely awesome.” Awww!

Gabriel Ba and his twin brother Fabio Moon are making a splash at Comic Con, especially with Ba’s involvement in Gerard Way’s The Umbrella Academy.

The Guitar Hero 4 tracklisting has been leaked! My Chemical Romance fans rejoice! Thank You For The Venom is on this rumored list of tracks also including “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World, “Face Down” by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana, “Bleed It Out” by Linkin Park, and others by Paramore, Lenny Kravitz, Tool, Muse, The Killers, 30 Seconds to Mars, and more. The setlist is fake! Thanks, G4! I had a feeling it was too good to be true. I agree with Brandi on this one!

The Umbrella Academy will continue with 5 to 7 issues a year and Gabriel Ba will be on the second series. Gerard has confirmed the movie, as well. He’s going to sit back and let the director have a vision for the movie because his vision is the comic, and they are not one and the same. His role in the movie’s production is yet to be determined.

Again, on the topic of The Umbrella Academy, MySpace Dark Horse is releasing a volume with art by some of its artists including Gerard and Gabriel (a “lost” chapter from The Umbrella Academy), and Gabriel’s brother Fabio. The book is available for preorder and will be released on September 18, 2008. Preorder the book from TFAW for $16.

The recording, a live track-for-track re-creation of the multi-platinum album The Black Parade, actually takes what is so good about the album and gives it some things that a studio recording would never be able to give – the visceral emotions and vocals of Way; the undeniable energy of the band as they perform as the mythical band The Black Parade; the interaction of the band with thousands of fans; and the raw sound that comes from the actual live performance with no post-concert studio repairs.

Mindless Self-Indulgence has captured hearts over in the UK. In fact, there is a publication that wants to marry Lyn-Z even though she’s already betrothed to that “bloke” from My Chemical Romance. I have to laugh, I’m sorry
